Workshop Culinário
By Maria Santos

Cooking workshops in Portugal have become a popular form of gastronomic tourism.
Culinary workshops have multiplied across Portugal as interest in Portuguese gastronomy grows. From north to south, schools and cooks offer hands-on experiences ranging from pastéis de nata to Algarve cataplana.
For rural communities, workshops represent income that valorises traditional culinary knowledge. Grandmothers and local cooks become protagonists, transmitting knowledge that would otherwise be lost.
